Terms of Use, Rules and Privacy Policy
By installing or using MegaWallet (the Android app and the megawallet.pro website) you accept these terms. If you disagree with any part, please do not use the app. This page is written in plain language so every user knows what we ask of them and what we commit to.
1. Terms of Use
1.1 What MegaWallet is
MegaWallet is a non-custodial crypto wallet. Your assets live on the blockchain under your control, not with us. MegaWallet is not a bank, an exchange or a financial institution, and it does not hold anyone's funds.
1.2 Keys and your responsibility
- Your private key and recovery phrase (12 words) are stored only on your phone, encrypted. We have no access to them.
- We cannot recover your recovery phrase or password. If you lose it or share it, access to your assets is lost or goes to someone else.
- Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. Check the address, network and amount before you confirm. We cannot cancel or refund a mistaken transaction.
- You are responsible for the security of your phone, your passcode and the app lock.
- Never send your recovery phrase or private key to anyone. MegaWallet support will never ask for it.
1.3 Who may use it
- You must be at least 18 and be allowed to use crypto assets under the laws where you live.
- You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including foreign-exchange, tax and sanctions rules.
- Using MegaWallet for illegal activity, money laundering, illegal financing, fraud or sanctions evasion is prohibited.
1.4 Third-party services
MegaWallet depends on services we do not control: blockchain networks and nodes, swap and bridge providers, price sources and the phone notification service. They can slow down, go offline, quote different prices or reject a transaction, and they have their own terms. We are not responsible for how they perform.
1.5 Swaps and gas-free sending
- Swap prices and routes are offered by third-party providers. The final price can differ slightly from the preview because of market movement and slippage.
- MegaWallet may charge a platform fee on swaps. The fee and the amount you receive are shown before you confirm.
- With gas-free sending, the network fee is taken from the token you send instead of the network's native coin, and the final amount is shown before you confirm. Availability depends on the network, the token, network conditions and service capacity, and we may limit or pause it.
- A swap can be delayed, fail or be refunded; this depends on the provider and the network.
1.6 Risky address warning
Before you send, MegaWallet compares the destination with lists of known risky and sanctioned addresses and warns you on a match. The warning is informational only. It is not complete or error-free, no warning does not mean an address is safe, and it is not financial or legal advice. The decision is yours.
1.7 MegaWallet ID (@)
- An ID is a short name linked to your wallet so others can pay you with the ID instead of a long address. IDs and the addresses you link to them are public and searchable.
- Offensive names, impersonation and abuse of other people's names or trademarks are not allowed. MegaWallet may suspend or release an ID that breaks these rules.
- Some premium IDs may be paid. The price is shown before you buy, and a refund after purchase is possible only after support reviews it.
- Ownership of an ID is proven by a signature from the owner wallet; keeping access to that wallet is up to you.
1.8 Acceptable use
You may not: tamper with or reverse-engineer the app or our services to get around limits; overload the service with bots or floods; create multiple accounts or fake devices to collect rewards; or gain unauthorized access to other people's accounts or devices.
1.9 Availability and changes
We work to keep the service reliable, but continuous availability is not guaranteed. We may change, limit or stop a feature, or require an app update. Because your balance is on the blockchain, it does not disappear if our service is down, and your recovery phrase also opens it in other compatible wallets.
1.10 Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- The app and services are provided "as is", with no guarantee of being error-free, uninterrupted or profitable.
- Nothing in MegaWallet is investment, financial, tax or legal advice.
- To the maximum extent the law allows, MegaWallet is not liable for losses caused by user error, a lost recovery phrase or password, someone else getting access to your phone, market movement, errors in networks or third-party services, sending to a wrong address or network, or attacks on wallets and blockchains.
2. Rewards, invites and points shop rules
- What rewards are: points and fee credit encourage use of the app. Points cannot be transferred or sold and have no cash value, except for items the shop explicitly labels as cash.
- One person, one rewards account: rewards go to a person, not to each wallet. Device verification (including hardware attestation) may be required to claim. Creating several accounts to collect rewards repeatedly is prohibited.
- Limits and budget: rewards have daily limits and a limited budget. A reward may be recorded late or declined for that day when the budget is used up. New points may stay "pending" for a while before they can be spent.
- Inviting friends: with your personal invite link, your friend can get a time-limited discount on swap fees and you can receive a share of fees they actually paid. MegaWallet sets and may change the percentages and durations. Fake invites, inviting your own accounts or using false information are prohibited and earn nothing.
- Points shop: some items are limited in stock and may have a per-person limit. "Cash" items are paid manually after review, and MegaWallet may decline a payment if fraud is suspected.
- Campaigns: the rules of each campaign (such as a shared goal, its duration, the minimum amount and the number of winners) are announced in the app. In shared-goal campaigns, prizes are paid only if the announced goal is reached before the deadline.
- Fraud: if we find fraud or abuse, the rewards account may be blocked and unused or unpaid rewards cancelled. MegaWallet's decision is final.
- Changes: reward amounts and conditions are not guaranteed and may change or stop at any time; rewards already earned and recorded keep the terms in force when they were recorded.
3. Privacy Policy
3.1 What we never collect
Your recovery phrase, private key and app passcode never leave your phone and never reach our servers. You do not need an email, phone number or identity verification to use MegaWallet.
3.2 What data is processed
- Public wallet addresses: to show balances and history and to send deposit and withdrawal notifications, your wallets' public addresses reach our servers. These addresses are public on the blockchain.
- Notification and device info: your phone's notification token (through Google's notification service), operating system, app version and language.
- Technical request data: for security and troubleshooting, technical details of requests such as IP address and device type are kept in technical logs for about 7 days.
- Rewards and invites: a device identifier and the result of its hardware attestation, the wallets you link to your rewards account, your points, credit and reward history, and the link between inviter and invitee.
- Sends and swaps: records of gas-free sends and swaps (addresses, amount, network and status), kept to execute them, for support, accounting and fraud prevention.
- MegaWallet ID: the ID name and the addresses you link to it are public.
- Messages to support: the name (optional), email and message you send through the contact form.
3.3 How we use it
To provide the service itself (balances, history, notifications, swaps and sending), for security and abuse prevention, to run the rewards program, to answer your messages and for aggregate statistics that do not identify you, to improve the app. We do not sell your personal information.
3.4 Who we share it with
- Nodes and the blockchain: in "direct" mode the app connects to network nodes itself; in "proxy" mode requests pass through MegaWallet's server. Transactions you send are recorded on a public, permanent blockchain that we cannot delete from.
- Swap and bridge services: to get a quote and execute a swap, the addresses and amount needed for that swap are sent to the services involved.
- Google's notification service: to deliver notifications to your phone.
- Legal requirements: if the law or a competent authority compels us, we may disclose the information required.
3.5 Retention
Technical logs are kept for about 7 days. We keep financial, swap, points and reward records for accounting, dispute handling and fraud prevention. Support messages are kept as long as needed to handle them.
3.6 Security
We use encryption in transit, restrict internal access and protect server keys. Still, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
3.7 Your rights
You can use the contact form to ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information (such as your email and support messages, or the link between a device and a rewards account). Data recorded on a blockchain cannot be deleted, and records needed for accounting or fraud prevention may be kept.
3.8 Children
MegaWallet is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
3.9 Website and cookies
The megawallet.pro website has no analytics or advertising tools and serves its fonts itself. It uses only essential cookies (mw_lang and mw_geo) to remember your language.
4. Risk warning
- Crypto assets are highly volatile and can lose much of their value.
- Unknown tokens and projects can be scams. Only use money you can afford to lose.
- Sending to the wrong address or network, or exposing your recovery phrase, is usually unrecoverable.
- Crypto rules differ between countries and can change; following them is up to you.
5. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and this policy. The new version is published with the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use MegaWallet after that means you accept it. For an important change we will try to tell you in the app or on the site.
For any question or request, send a message through the contact form, or reach us on X and Telegram.
